In this MMA training video you will learn how to lock down your opponent’s arm from Side Back Control with a Full Leg Trap allowing you to Ground and Pound and look for submissions. Starting from a Side Back Control position the trigger to this move is when your opponent postures up on the arm nearest to you. When they do this you can hook the arm with the top leg and take a Full Leg Trap position. This is a very powerful position where you can look for strikes, submissions and transitions to other ground positions. The nice thing about this arm lock position is that you don’t have to lose position or particularly commit yourself in order to achieve and if they work the arm loose you can simply look to re-apply it if they make the same mistake again.
